How 1D2A uses cookies

1D2A uses cookies and related browser storage, including local storage, to support core application behaviour and improve your experience. These are used only to operate the service, not for advertising or cross-site tracking.

In plain terms

Storage here exists to run the app and remember your choices, not to profile you or follow you around the web.

What is stored, and why

The storage 1D2A relies on falls into three purposes:

Session and state continuity — keeps you signed in and preserves view state across authenticated and unauthenticated pages.

Preferences and acknowledgements — remembers UI preferences and notices you have dismissed, so you are not shown them again.

Reliability and diagnostics — captures operational and troubleshooting information used to keep the service working.

The cookie notice banner

When you dismiss the cookie notice banner, that acknowledgement is stored in your browser's local storage so the banner is not shown to you again on the same device and browser.

In plain terms

Dismissing the banner simply sets a flag in your own browser. Clearing your browser storage will bring the banner back.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Because essential storage keeps you signed in and preserves application state, clearing or blocking it may sign you out or reset your preferences.

Diagnostic and preference storage can be cleared without preventing you from using 1D2A, though you may see notices again and lose saved preferences.
